The artist “Nall” to speak at The Fall Breakfast of The Live Oak Forum.

The Live Oak Forum announces its line up for The Fall Breakfast at The Live Oak Forum on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Historic Holiday Inn, in downtown Mobile, AL. The doors open at 8 am and breakfast is served. The program begins at 8:30 am. Nall will tell his story, as well as, speak on the impact of creativity on communities. He will be joined by David Clark, General Manager of The Beach Club, who will speak on “Earning the Right to Lead through Servant Leadership.”.
David Clark has worked for Spectrum Resorts for the last 3.5 years. Spectrum Resorts is owned by Spectrum Capital with the principals being Jason and Carolyn Voyles and The Yates Family. These families have been a part of developing The Beach Club, Turquoise Place and Caribe The Resort and have played a tremendous role with increasing Tourism and Economic Development in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
Prior to working with Spectrum Resorts, David worked with Marriott International for 25 years; 23 of those years at The Grand Hotel Marriott, Resort Golf Club & Spa in Point Clear, Alabama. David served in a variety of roles including Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf, Resident Manager and the last eight years as General Manager.
David loves to serve teams, having served as many as 700 team members, 400,000 guests and 1,400 private members annually. David and his team led the recovery of The Grand Hotel after it took a direct hit from Hurricane Katrina and orchestrated $75 million dollars in capital improvements while being in operation. David’s team led Marriott International’s Resort Division to the #1 Overall Guest Satisfaction ranking in North America Lodging Operations for six consecutive years and at the same time, increased profits every year during the recession.
David and his teams have earned National Industry Awards including: Marriott International’s Top Hotel Operations for North America Lodging Operations; Travel + Leisure “Top 500 Hotels in the World” and Golf and Tennis Magazine’s Premier Resorts. Most recently, The Beach Club was recognized as “Top 10 Family Beach Resorts” for North America by Family Vacation Critic, Trip Advisor’s Family Travel Site.
David was the recipient of Marriott International’s General Manager of The Year for North America Lodging Operations, received the Alabama Hotel/Restaurant Hotelier of The Year.
Nall, born in 1948 as Fred Nall Hollis in Troy, Alabama, earned his degree in art, political science and psychology from The University of Alabama and studied at the prestigious Ecole Nationale de Beaux Arts in Paris.
His works have been exhibited throughout the United States and internationally. His participation in international porcelain fairs includes the Caroussel du Louvre in Paris; Stuttgart, Germany; the Château do Bagatelle in Neuilly; at Podium boutique in Moscow, Russia; and in New York’s Arts and Crafts Museum and “Murano Memories” group show. His signature dinnerware porcelain has been produced by Havelind and Parlon, Royal Limoges, The Tunisian Porcelain Company, and Monaco Porcelain Company. He has had four postage stamps produced by the Principality of Monaco.
Nall has created commissioned works for the New York’s National Arts Club; Cathedral of Saint-Paul de Vence; Prince Albert II of Monaco; The Tuscany Council for Culture; Puccini Festival Foundation; Pisa International Airport, Italy; St. Francis Basilica in Assisi, Italy; and St. Augustine Museum. He was Monaco Artist in Residence, 2013-2014. His monumental “Peace Frame” is permanently installed as the doorway to Pietrasanta, Italy and at Monaco’s harbor, voted the most photographed site in the city. His latest monumental sculpture “Japanese Magnolia” is permanently installed in Monaco.
