Mayor Sandy Stimpson: A nice guy with no vision.

By Ted Burnett Where there is no vision, there is no hope. — George Washington Carver (1860’s-1943) An American botanist and inventor   Every politician has his critics; I guess I’m one of Sandy’s.  With Airbus coming to town years ago, many in the political and business communities saw the need for a sea change at Government Plaza.  Mayor Sam Jones had gone from being a trusted Mobile County Commissioner who was endorsed by high society to becoming a hall-storming dictator causing all sorts of problems within city government that was spilling over into city business.  Scotch-Gulf Lumber Company Executive Vice President Sandy Stimpson was encouraged by family and friends to take-on the...

The son of a Vietnam Veteran explores U.S. Senate bid.

January 8, 2018 The son of a Vietnam Veteran explores U.S. Senate bid. By Ted Burnett The purpose of this Facebook group, Ted Burnett for U.S. Senate in 2020 Group, is to get me, Ted Burnett from Daphne, AL, elected to the United States Senate on November 3, 2020. The seat is currently occupied by Doug Jones (D-AL) a Democrat. In December 2017, Doug won a special election against crazy Judge Roy Moore. The campaign primarily centered around allegations of Roy Moore hitting on teenage girls while he worked as a prosecutor in a local district attorney’s office some thirty years ago. Like most political campaigns the real issues affecting everyday Alabamians weren’t discussed because they aren’t discussed in Washington, either. It’s time for...

Exploring a bid for the 2020 U.S. Senate race in Alabama.

Exploring a bid for the 2020 U.S. Senate race in Alabama.

December 22, 2017 Currently exploring a bid for the 2020 U.S. Senate race in Alabama (Independent). A potential independent candidate for the United States Senate race (AL). The first step in becoming a candidate is getting one’s name on the official ballot by collecting 36,000 signatures by Alabama registered voters. My reason for running for office is my disgust for what’s happening within each political party and between each political party in Washington, DC. The United States appears to be self-destructing politically, spiritually and socially. We seem to suffer from a spiritual crisis and we’ve forgotten our spiritual foundation as so perfectly written by Thomas Jefferson and the other founding fathers. Politically conservative on...
