Running the Gauntlet

Introduction to “Running the Gauntlet.” By Ted Burnett “Running the Gauntlet” may be or may not be the final piece, the crescendo, in a series that I started writing last summer as a class assignment titled, “Faith,” only to be picked up once again this spring and which I continued exploring over the summer. Some of the other essays that I am referring to are: “You got to die before you can really live,” “How the [Middle] East Can Be Won,” “de Mello’s Most Important Question” and “The Return to Innocence.” Maybe, a thread is woven into each one that connects all ten pieces.
